Alfredo José Morelos Aviléz (born June 21, 1996 in Cereté ) is a Colombian football player who is under contract with the Glasgow Rangers in Scotland .

Career

Alfredo Morelos was born in Cereté in northern Colombia in 1996 . He started his career at Independiente Medellín . For the club, the striker played twelve games in the Colombian football championship between 2014 and 2016 , scoring a goal against Fortaleza FC in September 2014. In February 2016, Morelos was awarded to Finland to the HJK Helsinki . For the club from the Finnish capital, he scored 16 times in the opposing goal in 30 championship games in the 2016 season . Together with Njazi Kuqi , he finished second in the top scorer list behind Roope Riski with 17 goals. With HJK he was runner-up in the same season. At the end of the season, the Colombian was firmly committed. At the start of the 2017 season , he scored eleven goals in the first 12 game days. In June 2017, the 20-year-old moved to the Scottish Premiership for a transfer fee to the Glasgow Rangers .

National team

Alfredo Morelos completed international matches for the junior teams of the U-17 and U-20 of Colombia. With its strong performance in the Glasgow Rangers, Morelos was the first time in August 2018 the cadre of senior national appeal. He made his debut a month later against Venezuela when he came on for Radamel Falcao . In his sixth international match in November 2019, the striker scored his first goal in the national shirt when he scored the 1-0 winner against Peru .
