Roope Riski (born August 16, 1991 in Askainen ) is a Finnish football player who plays as a striker .
Career
society
Riski started his career at Maskun Palloseura , from where he moved to Turku PS . Between 2009 and 2010 it was awarded twice, to Åbo IFK and FC Viikingit . In January 2011 he moved to the Italian first division club AC Cesena . After a game for the Italians in Serie A , several loans followed: In the summer of 2011 he was loaned to his ex-club Turku, then to Norway to Hønefoss BK and again to Turku.
Loans ended for the 2014 season and he returned to Hønefoss. For the 2015 season he joined FK Haugesund . In the summer of 2015 he returned to Finland on loan, where he moved to Seinäjoen JK . For the 2016 season he was firmly signed by the Finns.
After Riski had become the top scorer in the Finnish first division with 17 goals in the 2016 season , he was signed on loan from third division club SC Paderborn 07 in January 2017 until June 2017.
After the loan ended, he moved to the Austrian Bundesliga club SKN St. Pölten for the 2017/18 season , with whom he received a contract valid until June 2020. In August 2018 he was awarded to the second division club Kissamikos in Greece . After the loan ended, he returned to St. Pölten for the 2019/20 season.
In January 2020 he returned to Finland and switched to HJK Helsinki , where he received a contract that ran until December 2021.
National team
On January 19, 2015 Riski made his debut for the Finnish senior team. He scored the winning goal in the 1-0 win against Sweden .
Private
His older brother Riku Riski is also a Finnish international.
