Riku Olavi Riski (born August 16, 1989 in Turku ) is a Finnish football player who is under contract with HJK Helsinki . His brother Roope Riski is also a professional footballer.
Career
societies
Riku Riski began his career at Turku PS , the largest football club in his hometown alongside Inter Turku . The 16-year-old Riski made his professional debut at TPS in the 2006 season . From the 2008 season, Riski, who acted as a striker, was able to fight for a regular place. With his hometown club, he won in 2010 the final of the Finnish Cup against HJK Helsinki in which he for the hit 2: 0! Final score itself. In 2010 he also played a game during a short loan to FC Viikingit . After a total of 82 league games and 17 goals Riski moved to Poland to Widzew Łódź in January 2011 . In August 2011 he was awarded to Örebro SK in Sweden for half a year . After he returned from his loan, the contract in Łódź was dissolved and he moved to the Norwegian first division promoted Hønefoss BK . In this, Riski was again accurate and was able to score 20 goals in 55 league games in two seasons. In December 2013 Riski signed a contract with Rosenborg Trondheim . Until his loan to IFK Göteborg in August 2015, he was a regular in the team under both Per Joar Hansen and Kåre Ingebrigtsen . After the five-month loan period ended, Riski was loaned out again. He moved to Dundee United in Scotland until the end of the 2015/16 season, where he was looked after by his former club and national team coach Mixu Paatelainen . Then he was signed by the Norwegian club Odds BK . He has been playing for HJK Helsinki in Finland since February 2018 .
National team
Riku Riski first played for the Finnish U-21s before making his debut for the Finnish senior team against Belgium in February 2011 . He made his debut under national coach Mixu Paatelainen who had substituted him for Roman Eremenko . With the national team he took part in the Baltic Cup 2014 .
