Fortaleza FC , also known as Fortaleza Centro de Entrenamiento Integrado para el Fútbol (short Fortaleza CEIF ) is a 2010 established Colombian football club based in Suba , Bogota , who from 2018 its home games in neighboring Cota discharges and in the second Colombian League play . From 2011 to 2013 and 2015 and 2017 the club played its home games in Zipaquirá and from 2014 to 2016 in Bogotá, especially in two seasons in the first division .

In 2010 the club bought the right to start from the indebted Atlético Juventud from Girardot .

While Fortaleza FC narrowly failed to qualify for the group stage in the second division in 2011 and 2012 , the club was able to qualify as group winners for the final for the first time in the Torneo Finalización 2013 and won it against Deportivo Rionegro and played the master and direct against Uniautónoma FC promoted in the Categoría Primera A from. Fortaleza, however, lost the final and played the relegation against Cúcuta Deportivo . Fortaleza won it and took part in the first Colombian league for the first time in 2014. The team finished the Hinserie 2014 in the table basement and was third from last. At the end of the year Fortaleza FC could not prevent relegation and had to return to the second division after only one year in the first division.

In the 2015 season of the second division Fortaleza was always in the top group and was able to qualify for the final round. There the club prevailed in front of Deportivo Pereira and managed the direct promotion. The subsequent final against Atlético Bucaramanga could not win Fortaleza and thus became runner-up.

Fortaleza FC rose again in 2016 after the second season in the first division. In July 2016, the club's previous manager Carlos Barato took over the coaching position.

In Apertura 2017 , Fortaleza missed out on tenth place in the final round. In July 2017, Carlos Barato resigned his job as a coach to return to the management level of the club. Carlos Mora was signed as his successor . The 2017 Finalización went even worse for the club and the league phase was finished in penultimate place.

For the 2018 season , David Barato , the previous coach of the club's U-20 team, has been named head coach. In the 2018 season, Fortaleza FC narrowly missed the finals in ninth place. The Apertura 2019 finished Fortaleza in eleventh place.

Stadion

Fortaleza FC has been playing its home games at the Estadio Municipal de Cota in Cota since 2018 , which has a capacity of around 4000 seats. Before promotion to the first division and after relegation for the second time, Fortaleza FC played its home games at the Estadio Municipal Héctor El Zipa González in Zipaquirá from 2011 to 2013 and 2017 . The stadium has a capacity of around 5000 seats. After the promotion to the first division, the club played its home games in 2014 and 2016 at the Estadio Metropolitano de Techo in Bogotá, which has a capacity of around 10,000 seats. After the first relegation, the club used the two stadiums in Bogotá and Zipaquirá as home stadiums in 2015.
