The Categoría Primera B 2013 , named after a sponsor Torneo Postobón , was the 24th season of the second Colombian division in men's football , which consisted of Apertura and Finalización . It started on February 2, 2013 and ended on December 3. Last year's champion was Alianza Petrolera . Real Cartagena was relegated from the first division .

Uniautónoma FC became champions, and the runner-up Fortaleza FC won the relegation against Cúcuta Deportivo .

mode

Two tournaments were played, the Apertura and the Finalización . Initially, all 18 teams played against each other in league mode, in addition there was a game day with Clásicos , on which games with a derby character are played. The first eight teams qualified for the semi-final groups, in which two finalists were played in two groups of four teams each, who determined the semi-series champions.

The two semi-series champions played a master who rose directly. The runner-up played a relegation against the penultimate in the first division. If a team had won both half-series, they would automatically have become champions. The next best team in the overall table would have played the relegation. There was no relegation from the second division.

Attendees

The following clubs took part in the two half-series of the 2013 season, Apertura and Finalización . The club Sucre FC sold its starting right to the club Jaguares de Córdoba from Montería, which participated in the 2013 season for the first time. Expreso Rojo moved from Soacha to Facatativá.

1Because of the World Games 2013 , which were held in Cali, America evaded to Tuluá and to Bogotá and Dépor to Jamundí.
2Due to safety concerns, Atlético Bucaramanga and Real Santander had to play two game days in the Sede Recreacional de Comfenalco in Floridablanca. Then Real Santander moved to the Estadio Álvaro Gómez Hurtado and for Atlético Bucaramanga the number of spectators at the Estadio Alfonso López was limited to a maximum of 1000.
3In the return series Fortaleza carried out its home games on its training grounds and individual games in the Metropolitano de Techo and El Campín stadiums due to construction work .
4th Uniautónoma also played games in the Polideportivo of the Universidad Autónoma del Caribe in Puerto Colombia and in the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez in Barranquilla.
5 Due to security concerns, Unión Magdalena played its home games from the middle of the Hinserie in Riohacha.
