The Estadio Hernán Ramírez Villegas is a football stadium in the Colombian city of Pereira .
It has space for 38,500 spectators and serves as the home of the Deportivo Pereira club . From May 2014 to March 2015, Águilas Pereira (now Águilas Doradas ) also played his home games in the stadium.

The Estadio Hernán Ramírez Villegas in Pereira , a Colombian city with about half a million inhabitants in the west of the country, located between the three largest cities of Colombia Bogotá , Medellín and Cali , was built in 1971 and opened that same year. Since the completion of the sports facility, the Deportivo Pereira club has played its home games in the stadium. The club has never won the football championship of Colombia to date, the only important title win in the club's history is first place in the Categoría Primera B in 2000. The club currently plays in the Categoría Primera A , the top division of Colombian football.
In 2001 the Copa America took place in Colombia. At the South American Championship, Pereira and thus the Estadio Hernán Ramírez Villegas was a venue. Besides the Estadio Centenario de Armenia , the stadium in Pereira was the second smallest stadium and only two games were played here. In the quarterfinals, the selection defeated Mexico by Chile with 2: 0 and in the semifinals to Mexico was against Uruguay claim. In the other semi-final, Colombia won 2-0 against Honduras in Manizales and later also the Copa America with a 1-0 final win against Mexico at the Estadio Nemesio Camacho in Bogotá .
Ten years later, in 2011, another international tournament took place at the Estadio Hernán Ramírez Villegas. The stadium was a venue for the U-20 World Cup . For the tournament, the capacity of the stadium was increased from 30,500 to 38,500 seats, and some modernization work was carried out. Ecuador defeated Costa Rica in the first of the two group matches, while Saudi Arabia lost to Nigeria in the other. As the tournament progressed, the Estadio Hernán Ramírez Villegas hosted a round of 16 (Cameroon lost to Mexico on penalties), a quarter-finals (Brazil defeated Spain on penalties) and a semi-final (Brazil defeated Mexico).
