Kemar Roofe (born January 6, 1993 in Walsall ) is an English - Jamaican football player who plays on the position of the striker .

Career

Roofe began in youth at West Bromwich Albion with the football . From the U18 he was awarded for a short time in 2011 to the Icelandic first division club Víkingur Reykjavík . However, there he only played two games. Shortly after returning from loan, Roofe was promoted to West Brom's U23 . From this a lot of loans followed in the EFL League Two and One . Most of these loans only ran for two to three months. At the beginning of 2015 it was loaned to Oxford United , but they pulled the purchase option available at the time. In League Two , he made a total of 56 games and 23 goals for Oxford. In 2016 Roofe went to Leeds United in the Championship for 3.5 million euros , where he established himself and immediately secured a regular seat.

After more than 100 games for Leeds, he moved to Division 1A at RSC Anderlecht in Belgium for six million euros at the beginning of August 2019 . At Anderlecht, however, he was followed by bad luck with injuries. First he injured his ankle and then his calf . He made his debut in Division 1A between the two injuries, on September 29, 2019 against Waasland-Beveren (0-0). Accordingly, he only played 13 out of 27 possible games for RSC Anderlecht.

In early August 2020, he moved back to the British Isles and signed a four-year contract with the Glasgow Rangers .
