Jordan Lewis Jones (born October 24, 1994 in Middlesbrough ) is a Northern Irish football player who is under contract with the Glasgow Rangers .
Career
societies
Jordan Jones played for his hometown club Middlesbrough FC in his youth . On January 5, 2013 he made his debut in the club's first team when he was substituted on for Luke Williams in the 3rd round of the English Cup against Hastings United . In February 2015 Jones was loaned to the English fourth division club Hartlepool United for whom he was used eleven times by the end of the 2014/15 season . The club only just managed to stay in league position 22nd. In November 2015, a short loan to Cambridge United followed in which he played a game against Notts County . After returning to Middlesbrough, he did not play another game. He left the club in June 2016.
He found a new club with the Scottish first division club FC Kilmarnock . He made his debut a month later in the League Cup against FC Clyde . In the very first season with his new club, he established himself as a regular player. He stayed that way in the following two seasons and at the end of the 2018/19 season helped the club to qualify for the European Cup for the first time since 2001 .
In January 2019, Jones signed a four-year pre-contract with Glasgow Rangers . The next day he scored the 2-1 winning goal for Killie against his new employer from Glasgow.
National team
Born in England, Jones first played in the Northern Ireland U-19 and made his debut on 12 November 2017 the senior team from Northern Ireland . He made his debut in the play-off World Cup qualifier against Switzerland which ended 0-0. Switzerland qualified for the World Cup in Russia with a 1-0 first leg win .
