Biganos is a French commune in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the canton of Andernos-les-Bains in the Arcachon arrondissement .
location
The municipality in the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park is located in the catchment area of the city of Bordeaux . Biganos is located east of Arcachon on the Bassin d'Arcachon in the neighborhood of Audenge . The Lacanau flows into the Eyre at the southern municipal boundary .
history
Archaeological excavations show that Bigano was settled in Roman times, and there are graves from the time of the Merovingians.
