Lugo is a French municipality with 927 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park and is part of the Communauté de communes du Val de l'Eyre .
history
In 1849 the whole municipality of Lugos moved to another place and the old village of Vieux Lugos was abandoned.
The hamlet of La Gare de Lugos , which is located about six kilometers southwest of the center of Lugos, belongs to the municipality of Lugos . Gare de Lugos takes its name from the railway line that runs through the village. Until the 1970s there was a train station in Gare de Lugos.

Attractions
The church of Vieux Lugos dates from the 11th century. It is adorned with murals from the 15th century and was classified as a Monument historique in 1957 .
