Audenge is a French town in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality is located in the catchment area of ​​the city of Bordeaux . While Audenge had over 2,001 inhabitants in 1962, it currently has 7,993 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

Until 2015, the municipality was the main town (chef-lieu) of the canton of Audenge in the Arcachon arrondissement . Today it is part of the canton of Andernos-les-Bains .

Audenge is located northeast of Arcachon on the opposite bank of the Bassin d'Arcachon between the municipalities of Biganos and Andernos-les-Bains .

The municipality is located in the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park .
