Marcheprime ( okzitan. : Marcha Prima ) is a French town in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . While Marcheprime only had 892 inhabitants in 1962, it currently has 4724 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).
The municipality belongs to the canton of Gujan-Mestras in the Arcachon arrondissement .
Marcheprime is located halfway between the cities of Bordeaux and Arcachon in the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park .
