Petit-Couronne is located on the Seine , a few kilometers southwest of Rouen . Petit-Couronne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Grand-Quevilly in the north, Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray in the east, Oissel in the south-east, Grand-Couronne in the south, Val-de-la-Haye in the west and Canteleu in the north-west.

The national route 138 and the short A139 motorway slip road lead through the municipality to the A13 car route .
