geography
Sotteville-sous-le-Val is about 16 kilometers south of Rouen on the Seine . It is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Tourville-la-Rivière in the north and north-west, Les Authieux-sur-le-Port-Saint-Ouen in the north and north-east, Igoville in the east, Pont-de-l'Arche in the south and south-east, Criquebeuf -sur-Seine in the south and southwest and Freneuse in the west.
The A13 autoroute runs through the municipality .
