Montmain is a French commune in the department of Seine-Maritime in the region Normandy . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Rouen , is part of the canton of Le Mesnil-Esnard (until 2015: canton Boos ). The total population as of January 1, 2017 was 1,314.

Montmain is about eleven kilometers east-southeast of Rouen . Montmain is surrounded by the neighboring communities Bois-d'Ennebourg in the north, Fresne-le-Plan in the east, Mesnil-Raoul in the east and south-east, La Neuville-Chant-d'Oisel in the south and south-east, Boos in the south-west, Franqueville-Saint -Pierre to the west and south-west and Saint-Aubin-Épinay to the west and north-west.
