Maren Wallenhorst (born November 7, 1990 in Osnabrück ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Wallenhorst began her career in 2006 with the then second division club FC Gütersloh 2000 . There she completed 52 games in three seasons, in which she scored 26 goals. She scored 16 of these goals in the 2007/08 season , which was the second best value of all players in the North Season after Marie Pollmann . In the summer of 2009, she moved to league rivals Werder Bremen , for whom she was also active for three years. After her home club, now trading as FSV Gütersloh in 2009, rose to the Bundesliga, she returned to Gütersloh. She made her first division debut there on September 9, 2012 against VfL Sindelfingen , in this game she also scored her first Bundesliga goal. After the relegation of FC Gütersloh in 2009, she returned to Werder Bremen in the summer of 2013. After the 2016/17 season, in which she was rarely used due to a foot injury, she decided to take a break.
