Safi Nyembo (born September 23, 1984 in Kinshasa , Zaire ) is a German soccer player .

Life

Career

Nyembo began her career with FSV Schierstein and moved from the U-16s in the summer of 2001 to the upper league at SG Germania Wiesbaden. For the 2004/2005 season she moved to local rivals 1. FFC Frankfurt and made her Bundesliga debut on December 5, 2004. After she played one more game, she switched to city rivals FSV Frankfurt , where Nyembo made 22 appearances. In 2006 she returned to 1. FFC Frankfurt and played in the second team. After a season in the 2nd Bundesliga South for the reserve of 1. FFC Frankfurt Nyembo decided to transfer to 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig . She quickly became a star in Leipzig, scoring 35 goals in 79 games in five years. In March 2012 Nyembo was suspended after criticizing the board and has only played in the second team since then. After five years in Leipzig, in June 2012 she was about to move to the newly promoted Bundesliga VfL Sindelfingen , but after successful trial training she decided to move to FF USV Jena , where she signed a two-year contract. In the summer of 2013, she terminated her contract, which would have run until June 30, 2014, in Jena and switched to the newly founded FFV Leipzig , the successor to the women's team of 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig. After FFV Leipzig withdrew from the Regionalliga in 2016/2017, she joined the newly founded club FC Phoenix Leipzig . However, it was only used in four games.

She plays for Eintracht Leipzig Süd in the 2019/20 season.

Personal

The trained medical assistant passed the technical diploma for social affairs in 2010. She has been training to become a police officer since 2011.
