The Helmut-Körnig-Halle is an athletics hall on Strobelallee in Dortmund .
The 1980 close to the Red Stadium soil , the Westfalenhallen and the Westfalenstadion opened hall offers as competition and training venue for national and international competitions 4,500 spectators. The hall was named after Helmut Körnig , bronze medalist in the 200 m sprint competition at the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam and later managing director of Westfalenhallen Dortmund GmbH.
