Maike Dix (born July 2, 1986 ) is a former German athlete specializing in sprinting .

career path

Maike Dix studied rehabilitation education .

Athletic career

At the U18 World Championships 2003 in Sherbrooke , she came over 200 meters into the semi-finals. The following year she ran on her special route at the U20 World Championships in Grosseto 23.76 s and reached 6th place in the final. With the 4 x 100 meter relay , she won the German outdoor championship in 2009, 2010 and 2012 . After a 3rd place in 2012, Dix was German champion in the hall in 2013 and 2014 with the 4 x 200 meter relay .

In autumn 2015, she announced the end of her competitive sports career due to ongoing medical complaints.

Club membership

In 2003 she moved from Moerser SC to ASV Köln . From 2004 to 2008 she started for the LG Olympia Dortmund and from 2009 to 2015 she competed for TV Wattenscheid 01 .

Best times

Her personal bests of 23.26 s over 200 and 11.62 s over 100 meters also come from 2009 . At the Bottrop Gala in July 2013 she ran - with irregular wind support - the season best with 11.50 s over 100 meters and was then taken into account in the second round of nominations for the relay at the 2013 World Championships in Moscow .
