David Gollnow

David Gollnow (born April 8, 1989 in Leinefelde ) is a German athlete who specializes in the 400-meter hurdles . He started for the LG Stadtwerke München . He is currently starting for MTG Mannheim.

Sports career

Gollnow finished eighth in the 400 meter hurdles at the World Junior Athletics Championships in 2008 in Bydgoszcz . At the European Athletics Indoor Championships 2011 in Paris , he reached the semi-finals in the 400-meter run . In the same year he was sixth at the U23 European Athletics Championships in Ostrava in the hurdles and won the German Championships in Kassel both in his specialty and with the 4 x 400 meter relay of TSV 1862 Erding .

At the German championships in 2012 in Wattenscheid , he was unable to defend his title in the 400-meter hurdles, but won again with the relay, this time as the final runner of the LG Stadtwerke München.

In 2013 he mainly competed in the 400-meter run and was able to increase his best performance over this distance by more than a second to 45.72 s, making him the fastest German to date this year for a single start at the European Team Championship in Gateshead over 400 meters, where he finished third in 45.90 s, and was nominated for a place in the season. He won the title at the German Championships .
