The Karlsruhe Exhibition Center is an exhibition center in Rheinstetten-Forchheim near Karlsruhe for the organization of national and international trade and public fairs and large events. The new trade fair was opened in 2003 on the site of a former airfield about seven kilometers southwest of Karlsruhe city center.
The fair is operated by the municipal Karlsruhe Trade Fair and Congress GmbH (Messe Karlsruhe), which also maintains the Karlsruhe Congress Center in Karlsruhe's city center and the Europahalle Karlsruhe .
The events held here include both specialist and consumer shows. Messe Karlsruhe organizes the trade fairs Nufam , Learntec , REHAB , RecyclingAktiv , TiefbauLive , medical seminars Karlsruhe , AAL Congress, Platformers' Days, SBM Summit and IT-Trans . To the public fairs belonging Inventa , RendezVino , Loft - The design department store , Beastly Good , Karlsruhe wedding and celebrations, New Housing, the art fair Art Karlsruhe , as well as the regional fair Offerta .
The Jalsa Salana Germany of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat has been taking place annually since 2011 in the Karlsruhe Exhibition Center with over 40,000 visitors. In 2004 and 2010 there were conventions of the Willow Creek Community Church , in 2016 the Christival .
Furnishing
The exhibition grounds have four pillar-free exhibition halls of 12,500 m² each , including the dm arena, a multifunctional hall for up to 11,200 visitors. The size of the halls is 162.50 m × 74.50 m. The hall height is 17.80 m (dm arena: 22.00 m). The hall area amounts to a total of 52,000 m², the exhibition area in the outdoor area is 62,000 m².
At the main entrance there is visitor reception and registration, a press center, service center and trade fair conference center for up to 2,000 people, trade fair shop and catering. There is a multimedia visitor information system.
Transport links
The exhibition grounds are located on the four-lane federal highway 36 , a few kilometers from the A 5 , A 8 and A 65 motorways. There are 7,000 parking spaces available.
From the ICE junction at Karlsruhe main station , the exhibition grounds can be reached in just under half an hour with the Karlsruhe city train . The stop at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Center is called Forchheim Messe / Leichtsandstraße and can be reached with the S2 line. For certain events, exhibition express buses (line M) are also used from the main station.
