The 25th German Athletics Championships took place from August 17th to 19th, 1923 in Frankfurt / Main .
Two competitions have been outsourced:
The competition for 5000 m track walking , which was only introduced in 1921 , was removed from the program. There were no further changes in the range of competitions compared to the previous year.
On July 28th, another marathon over the classic 42.195 km took place in Berlin . However, this discipline was not officially part of the championship competitions up to and including 1924, but was carried out as a "German Marathon" independently.
