Charlotte Köhler (athlete)

Charlotte Köhler (* July 1, 1907 ; † unknown) was a German athlete who started in the 1920s for the Berlin Sport Club and for Eintracht Frankfurt . She was mainly active as a sprinter , but also competed in high jump , long jump and javelin throw .

The following personal bests are given for them:

  • 12.4 s (100 m), achieved on August 1, 1931 in Magdeburg
  • 26.4 s (200 m), achieved on July 21, 1929 in Frankfurt am Main
  • 1.50 m (high jump), achieved on June 23 there
  • 5.27 m (long jump), achieved on July 21 there
  • 33.85 m (spear), achieved on June 9 in Frankfurt-Höchst

Together with Lilli Henoch , Gerda Pöting and Cläre Voss she formed the 4 x 100 meter relay of the Berliner SC, which not only won the German championship three times in a row - in 1924, 1925 and 1926 - but also set two German records :

  • 51.6 s on July 13, 1924 in Berlin
  • 50.3 s on July 11, 1926 in Cologne . This time was noted as a world record by the FSFI .

In individual competitions, Charlotte Köhler only managed one podium placement: in 1929 she was third over 100 meters.

At the 1928 Olympics in Amsterdam , where athletics competitions were held for women for the first time, they did not participate.
