Charlotte Mäder (born July 18, 1905 in Bernau near Berlin ; † unknown) was a German athlete who was successful in the 1920s and started for the Bernau sports club .

Life

Charlotte Mäder competed in all three technical disciplines that were then run by women - the shot put , discus and javelin throw . She was married, her married name was Seewald.

  • 1923, 1924, 1926 and 1927 German runner-up in the discus throw
  • 1925 German runner-up in javelin throw

There are also two third places at the German Championships in 1924 and 1925 in the shot put.

Olympic games

In 1928 she took part in the Olympic Games in Amsterdam , where athletic competitions for women were held for the first time. Since the shot put and javelin were not on the program, she only started in the discus throw. While her teammates Grete Heublein and Emilie Reuter easily qualified for the finals of the top six, Charlotte Mäder only came in ninth with 32.22 m.
