Grete Heublein

Margarete ("Grete") Heublein (born January 29, 1908 in Barmen ; † March 2, 1997 Barmen) was a German athlete and Olympic participant who was successful in the 100-meter run , shot put and discus throw in the 1920s and 1930s was.

In the shot put, she won the 1930 Women's World Games (12.49 m). She set eleven world records (five of them official) in the shot put and discus throw . She started at the Olympic Games in 1928 and 1932 without winning any medals. She was German champion six times - in 1926, 1928, 1929 and 1931 in the shot put and in 1930 and 1932 in the discus throw. There are also five runner-up championships and a third place at German championships.
