The 27th German Athletics Championships were organized for the first time in two competitions separated by sex: the men determined their champions on August 8 and 9, 1925 in Berlin , the women their champions on September 6, 1925 in Leipzig .

Some competitions have been outsourced:

The following changes were made to the competition program:

  • The men's marathon was officially included in the program , after it had previously been held as the “German Marathon” for a number of years.
  • A new competition for men was the 25,000 m run , which was only carried out three times.
  • With the women’s triathlon , an all-around competition was added to the program consisting of the disciplines 100 m , high jump and ball throwing , all held on one day. From 1928 this competition was replaced by the pentathlon .

About 110m hurdles scored Heinrich Troßbach 14.9 s a new German record.

The following overview summarizes the medal winners of all competitions from 1925.
