The SC Schlesien Breslau was a German football club from the central Silesian city of Breslau .
history
The association was formed in 1901 after the break-off from SV Blitz Breslau . In 1905 Breslau became champions of Silesia and reached the final round of the German championship . Breslau won in the first round against SC Alemannia Cottbus and was then supposed to compete at Magdeburg's FC Viktoria 1896 , but decided not to participate due to high travel costs.
In the final round in 1905/06 , BFC Hertha 92 was significantly stronger than Silesia at 1: 7. A year later, in the 1906/07 season , Silesia lost 2-1 to BFC Viktoria 1889 .
In 1924 there was a merger with FC Rapid Breslau to form SC Schlesien 1901-Rapid Breslau , in 1929 the club again took the name SC Schlesien Breslau .
In 1934 he merged with VfR 1897 Breslau to VfR Schlesien 1897 Breslau .
The home of SC Schlesien Breslau was until the dissolution of the club in 1934 a sports field in the Wroclaw district of Kleinburg (today: Borek in the district of Wrocław-Krzyki ). The square is now called the Sztabowa Stadium .
