Andreas Straßner (born March 23, 1979 in Pleinfeld ) is a German long-distance runner .

life and career

Straßner has been trained by Sebastian Reinwand for about 5 years (as of 2018). On January 1, 2017, he and Reinwand moved from the Memmert / TSG 08 Roth team to the ART Düsseldorf marathon team , which was dissolved at the end of 2018. He has been part of the Naunheim Sport team from Wetzlar since 2019 .

His partner is the long-distance runner Julia Galuschka, who also trains there.

Sporting successes

In 2018 he won the national Wings for Life World Run (global 2nd place) in Munich with 76.8 km and the national Wings for Life World Run in Brazil in 2019 with 61.25 km.

In 2018 he was first in the Seenland Marathon . In 2018 and 2019 he won the Munich Marathon .

In 2019 he won silver in the German national team at the world championships over 50 kilometers .
