Bianca Meyer (born November 24, 1974 in Munich ) is a German long-distance runner . She is multiple Bavarian and Berlin-Brandenburg champion as well as four-time German champion. Her greatest successes were reaching the IAAF qualification for the marathon world championships in Osaka in 2005 and the vice European title AK over 10,000 meters in 2010.

Career and sporting success

On September 29, 2002, Bianca Meyer took third place in the German marathon championship with the women's team. The same place she achieved a year later with the team over 10 km. Meyer achieved the best placement in a marathon of the World Marathon Majors series on September 25, 2005 at the Berlin Marathon as the third woman from Germany (20th place overall). The time of 2:48:20 h meant ninth place in the women's best list of the German Athletics Association (DLV) in 2005. At the German championship in the marathon on May 22, 2011 Meyer took fourth place. On October 10, 2010 Meyer won the Munich Marathon over the half marathon distance.

In April 2014, Meyer won third place in the W40 age group at the German Half Marathon Championships in Freiburg. One month later, she won the German championships over 10,000 meters on the track, also in her age group. In 2015, Meyer became German marathon champion with the team in the Frankfurt Marathon , and she also took third place in the W40 age group and first place in the W40 age group. In May 2017 Meyer won the Wings for Life World Run in Munich with 51.23 km . At the Oktoberfest run in Munich in September 2017, she improved the course record to 1:21:38 h. In October 2017 she won the Munich Marathon in her hometown in a time of 2:49:35 h. In September 2019 Meyer achieved third place overall in the Master Mixed category at the Transalpine Run .

From 2011 Meyer started for the LG Stadtwerke München . From April 2009 to July 2012 she was trained by Dan Lorang .

Meyer has been running a running school in Munich since 2009, with which she offers professional running training and running trips.
