Carl Dohmann
Carl Dohmann (born May 18, 1990 in Hanover ) is a German walker . In 2013, 2015 and 2016 he was German champion in the competition over 50 kilometers.
Career
He was disqualified at the U23 European Championships in Ostrava in 2011 , as well as at the Universiade in Shenzhen in the same year. In 2012 he was German junior champion over 30 km.
His first podium placement in the men's class was at the German Championships on April 28, 2013 over 20 km in Naumburg , where he finished third. At the German Walking Championships over 50 km on October 19, 2013 in Gleina , he won the title in 3:57:58 h in his first race over this distance with over half an hour ahead of the runner-up. In 2015 and 2016 he won the German championship title over this route.
At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , he was nominated for the 50 km competition in which he did not finish. At the 2017 World Championships in London he came tenth over this route, and in 2019 in Doha he came seventh.
His competitor was Hagen Pohle from SC Potsdam for many years .
Dohmann starts for the SCL Heel Baden-Baden. His trainer is Robert Ihly . He has a bachelor's degree in history and sociology.
