Gotthard minus

Gotthard Minus (* 1810 in Mitau , Courland ; † 1876 ) was a German-Baltic merchant and coin collector .

After working as a merchant in St. Petersburg and Moscow, Minus had been based in Riga since 1856 . Here he brought together an important collection of coins from the Baltic regions, which were auctioned in November 1874 together with the Adolph Preiss collection in Vienna.
