Adolph Preiss (coin collector)

Adolph Preiss (* unknown; † 1890 ) was a German-Baltic merchant and coin collector .

Preiss worked as a merchant in St. Petersburg . From 1848 he was a member of the Society for History and Antiquity of the Baltic Sea Provinces of Russia in Riga . He amassed an important collection of coins from the Baltic regions, which were auctioned in November 1874 together with the Gotthard Minus collection in Vienna.
