Jonas Koller (born March 22, 1993 in Addis Ababa ) is a German athlete who specializes in long-distance and marathons .
Career
Jonas Koller grew up as a foundling in an orphanage in Addis Ababa for the first six months of his life . He was adopted and lived in the family of his adoptive parents in Velburg, Upper Palatinate .
On October 29, 2017, Koller won the German runner -up in the marathon with a personal best of 2:16:03 h at the Frankfurt Marathon.
On May 6, 2018, he won the traditional S 25 Berlin in (1:19:28 h) and thus achieved the certificate of achievement for the European Cup in the marathon. At the European Championships in Berlin he reached the 28th place in the marathon on August 12th (2:19:16 hrs) and was seventh in the marathon cup ranking with the German marathon team.
Koller ran for LG Telis Finanz Regensburg until 2019 and has started for TV Wattenscheid 01 since 2020 .
