Ricarda Lobe (born April 13, 1994 in Landau in the Palatinate ) is a German athlete who specializes in short sprints and hurdles as well as taking part in relay races. She is multiple German champion with the 4 x 100 meter relay .

Athletic career

Ricarda Lobe had as a B and A youth (U18 / U20) and as a junior (U23) at championships of her age group in hurdles sprint until 2014 continuously achieved top and podium places.

At the German Athletics Championships in 2015 and 2016 Ricarda Lobe was the German champion with the 4 x 100 meter relay of her new club. 2015 belonged to the relay as further sprinters besides Ricarda Lobe, Verena Sailer , Alexandra Burghardt and Yasmin Kwadwo . In 2016, the MTG relay team included Ricarda Lobe, Alexandra Burghardt, Nadine Gonska and Yasmin Kwadwo. Ricarda Lobe won the bronze medal in the women's 100 meter hurdles sprint at the 2016 German Athletics Championships in Kassel. In Leipzig, she also achieved third place at the 2016 German Indoor Championships and thus the bronze medal. In the summer of 2015, she became German U23 champion in Wetzlar over 100 meter hurdles. In 2015 she became German university champion over the 60 meter hurdles.

In 2016, Lobe took 3rd place over 60 meter hurdles at the 2017 German Indoor Championships , as at the 2016 Indoor Championships . At the European Indoor Championships 2017 in Belgrade (Serbia) on March 3, 2017, she reached the final of the 60-meter hurdle sprint and placed sixth. On July 8, 2017 Ricarda Lobe reached second place in the 100 meter hurdles sprint at the 117th German Athletics Championships in Erfurt and therefore won the silver medal. On July 9, 2017, the athlete with the MTG relay also became German champion with the 4 x 100 meter relay at the German Athletics Championships in Erfurt with Ricarda Lobe, Alexandra Burkhardt, Nadine Gonska and Yasmin Kwadwo. The very good time achieved by Ricarda Lobe with the MTG relay on July 9, 2017 at the German Athletics Championships 2017 in Erfurt is also a championship record. In the Federal Republic of Germany, there has never been a relay in this discipline at the German Athletics Championships been better. In mid-July, Lobe was nominated by the German Athletics Association (DLV) for the World Championships in London and by the General German University Sports Association (adh) for the Summer Universiade in Taipei . At the World Championships in London, she was eliminated in the semifinals.

In 2018, Lobe won silver with both the 4 x 200 meter relay at the German Indoor Championships in Dortmund and at the German Championships in Nuremberg over 100 meter hurdles, where she also won the 4 x 100 meter Relay was German champion. At the European Championships in Berlin , Lobe reached the final with a personal best of 12.90 s, in which she finished fifth with 13.00 s.

Lobe trains at her club, MTG Mannheim , and at the Rhein-Neckar Olympic base in Heidelberg . Until 2014 she was at TV Nussdorf .
