Anna Raukuc (born January 7, 1990 in Emden ) is a former German athlete who specialized in the 400-meter hurdles . She also ran short and long sprints .

career path

Raukuc grew up in Emden and completed her training as a clerk for office communication there in 2011 at the BBS 1 vocational school . She completed the subsequent dual course of study at the Emden / Leer University of Applied Sciences in autumn 2013 with a Bachelor in Business Administration . She then moved to Hanover and Wolfsburg, where she started the master's degree in strategic management at the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences and has meanwhile also completed it.

Athletic career

Anna Raukuc started at SV Emden-Harsweg .

  • In 2003 she took 1st place in the German best list of the female students W13 in the block competition run.
    In the following years she achieved further top positions in the DLV best lists:
  • 2004: 4th place in the pupil heptathlon W14
  • 2005: 1st place with 43.70 seconds over 300 m hurdles among the students W15
  • 2006: 5th place in the B-youth over 400 m hurdles
  • 2007: 4th place in the B-youth over 400 m hurdles
  • 2008: 7th place in the A-youth over 400 m hurdles
  • 2010: 6th place in the juniors over 400 m hurdles
  • 2011: 2nd place in the juniors over 400 m hurdles
  • 2012: 4th place in the juniors over 400 m hurdles
  • 2014: 5th place in the women over 400 m hurdles
  • 2015: 3rd place in the women over 400 m hurdles

In 2008 Raukuc reached the third place as the youngest participant in the German U23 championships over 400 meters hurdles.

In 2011 she became German U23 runner-up with a personal best of 58.11 seconds in the long hurdles and made the standard for the U23 European Championships in Ostrava , where she was eliminated in the heats.

In 2014, after a two-year injury period, Raukuc initially reported back to the state championships of Lower Saxony and Bremen indoors with a 400 m win and confirmed her form at the state championships of Lower Saxony and Bremen outdoors with a victory over the 400 m hurdles. Three weeks later at the German Championships , she came 4th in the long hurdles.

In 2015 she became German runner-up over the 400 m hurdles.

With a view to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , 2016 started promisingly at the German Indoor Championships with a 5th place on the 400 meters, but had to cancel her start at the German Championships in Kassel on the warm-up area .

On September 3, 2016, Raukuc announced the end of her sporting career due to health considerations as well as her completed studies and the associated professional prospects.

Anna Raukuc launched for VfL Hannover and the end of 2015 resolution LG Hannover . She was with the Emden running community until the end of 2013 , to which she came from SV Emden-Harsweg in 2006 .
