Janina Kölsch (born March 30, 1991 in Cologne , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German athlete who specializes in 100- and 200-meter runs .
career path
Kölsch is a student . She began studying at the German Sport University in 2010 .
Athletic career
Even as a student, Kölsch was successful, winning regional and national championship and runner-up titles. She also set records, such as a circle record over 100 meters with 12.18 seconds, or topped the national best list in 2006 in the schoolgirls area over 80 meter hurdles and in the 100 meter run . As a 15-year-old, Kölsch achieved a 60-meter indoor best time of 7.68 seconds.
After finishing school and starting his studies, Kölsch had a 4th place in 2012 and a 5th place in the German Championships in 2013 as a relay runner over the 4 x 400 meters.
In 2015 she improved to a 3rd place at the German Indoor Championships with the 4 x 200 meter relay and was German runner-up with the 4 x 100 meter quartet.
In 2016, Kölsch ran a personal best of 60 meters at the German Indoor Championships with 7.35 seconds. At the German Championships she came in sixth place in 11.59 s in a headwind (−2.1 m / s) and was thus nominated for the 4 x 100 meter relay at the European Championships in Amsterdam . She was the substitute runner of the relay that took bronze.
In 2018, Kölsch took third place at the German Indoor Championships in Dortmund with the 4 x 200 meter relay and fourth at the German Championships in Nuremberg with the 4 x 100 meter relay.
