Manuel Stöckert

Manuel Stöckert (born October 27, 1988 in Ostheim / Rhön ) is a German athlete who has specialized in long distance distances as well as cross and mountain running .

Stöckert found long-distance running at the age of ten, discovered and encouraged by his godfather and trainer, Eberhard Helm . Stöckert appeared nationwide in 2005 when he won the German runner-up title in the 10 km road race in youth B (now U18) and became European junior champion in mountain running. At the German cross-country championships in the same year, he reached fourth place.

Stöckert initially started for TSV Ostheim , but then switched with his coach to SC Ostheim, which was newly founded in 2013 .

Stöckert is a police officer by profession and has won numerous titles at the German Police Championships.
