German Mountain Running Championships
German Mountain Running Championships are part of the German Championships in Athletics , which are held annually in summer.
The mountain run , like forest and cross-country runs , is outsourced because it cannot be carried out in a stadium. Mountain running championships have been part of the DLV competition program since 1985.
The organizer is the German Athletics Association (DLV) in conjunction with a state and, if applicable, local organizer.
In principle, only members with a valid start right for a club / LG in the association area of the DLV and young people under 16 are not entitled to participate in male and female youth under 20. Only athletes who have achieved a minimum performance are allowed to start.
history
The forerunner of the German Mountain Running Championships was the DLV German Mountain Running Cup racing series . Some of these events hosted the Berglauf DM, such as the Hochfellnberglauf in Bergen .
