Lucie Sekanová (born August 5, 1989 in Prachatice ) is a Czech athlete who has specialized in the obstacle course .

Athletic career

Lucie Sekanová gained her first experience in international championships at the Junior World Championships 2008 in Bydgoszcz , where she finished eighth in the obstacle course. In 2011 she took part in the U23 European Championships in Ostrava and reached eleventh place there. In 2014, Sekanová took 3rd place in the Olympia-Alm Cross Run over 6600 meters in 25:19 minutes. In addition, she qualified over 10,000 meters for the European Championships in Zurich , where she ran in 23rd position. A year later she took part in the obstacle course at the World Championships in Beijing , where she was eliminated with a time of 9: 45.72 in the run -up. In 2016 she again took part in the European Championships in Amsterdam and this time was eliminated in advance. In 2017 she qualified for the World Championships in London , where she again failed to reach the final . At the World Student Games in Taipei two weeks later, she finished eighth in the final.

So far she has been Czech champion three times in the open air and once in the hall.
