Vincent Kipsegechi Yator
Vincent Kipsegechi Yator (born July 11, 1989 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner .
Yator finished sixth in the 5000-meter run at the World Junior Athletics Championships in 2008 in Bydgoszcz . The following year he was second behind his compatriot Leonard Patrick Komon at the Singelloop Utrecht . At the 2010 African Athletics Championships in Nairobi, he won the silver medal over 5000 meters. Yator had led for a long time, but stumbled shortly before the finish and had to let his compatriot Edwin Cheruiyot Soi pass by. A few weeks later, he finished fourth at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi over the same distance . Shortly thereafter, he finished third at the Great South Run in Portsmouth.
In October 2019, Yator was suspended from the Athletics Integrity Unit for EPO doping.
