Albert Joseph Tsiahoana

Albert Joseph Tsiahoana (born August 3, 1927 in Fénérive-Est ; † June 15, 2012 ) was Archbishop of Antsiranana and council father of the last two sessions of the Second Vatican Council .

Life

Albert Joseph Tsiahoana was ordained a priest on August 26, 1956 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on February 10, 1964 auxiliary bishop in Diégo-Suarez and titular bishop of Abthugni . The Archbishop of Diégo-Suarez Edmond-Marie-Jean Wolff CSSp consecrated him on June 14 of the same year as bishop ; Co- consecrators were Gilbert Ramanantoanina SJ , Archbishop of Fianarantsoa , and Jules-Joseph Puset SMM , Bishop of Tamatave .

On April 13, 1967, he was appointed Archbishop of Diégo-Suarez. On November 14, 1998, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation.
