Michel Malo IdP (born March 24, 1938 in Maroantsetra ) is a Malagasy clergyman and emeritus Archbishop of Antsiranana .

Life

Michel Malo was ordained a priest on August 15, 1971 and was incardinated in the secular institute Istituto del Prado .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Majunga and titular bishop of Croae on September 1, 1988 . The Archbishop of Antsiranana , Albert Joseph Tsiahoana , donated him episcopal ordination on December 11th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Armand Gaétan Razafindratandra , Bishop of Majunga , and René Joseph Rakotondrabé , Bishop of Tuléar .

On October 18, 1993 he was appointed auxiliary bishop in Antsiranana. On March 29, 1996, he was appointed bishop of Mahajanga. On November 28, 1998, he was appointed Archbishop of Antsiranana.

On November 27, 2013, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
