Benjamin Marc Ramaroson

Benjamin Marc Ramaroson CM (born April 25, 1955 in Manakara , Madagascar ) is Archbishop of Antsiranana .

Life

Ramaroson studied after obtaining a baccalaureate in mathematics for two years at the State University in Antananarivo before a member of the Vincentians was. He took his vows on October 15, 1980 and was ordained a priest on August 15, 1984 .

After his ordination he was cathedral pastor (1984–1986), student at the Pontifical Gregorian University (1986–1990), where he did his doctorate in spirituality, superior of the Lazarists' scholasticate in Fianarantsoa and professor of moral theology (1990–2000), Rector of the Novitiate of the Lazarists (2000–2001) and since 2001 Provincial of the Lazarists in Madagascar.

On November 26, 2005 he was by Pope Benedict XVI. appointed Bishop of Farafangana in Madagascar. The Archbishop of Fianarantsoa , Fulgence Rabemahafaly , donated him episcopal ordination on March 25 of the following year. Co - consecrators were the former bishop of Tôlagnaro , Jean-Pierre-Dominique Zévaco , and the bishop of Ihosy , Philippe Ranaivomanana .

On November 27, 2013, Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Antsiranana .
