Gaetano Di Pierro SCI (born December 1, 1948 in Orta Nova ) is an Italian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Farafangana .

Life

Gaetano Di Pierro joined the Congregation of Dehonians at and received on 29 June 1975, the priestly ordination .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Ambatondrazaka and titular bishop of Guardialfiera on April 24, 2001 . The Bishop of Ambatondrazaka, Antoine Scopelliti OSsT , donated him episcopal ordination on August 5th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Armand Gaétan Cardinal Razafindratandra , Archbishop of Antananarivo , and Archbishopric Bruno Musarò , Apostolic Nuncio to Madagascar , the Comoros and the Seychelles .

On May 13, 2006 he was welcomed by Pope Benedict XVI. appointed first bishop of the diocese of Moramanga , established on the same date . Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Farafangana on March 3, 2018. The inauguration took place on April 12 of the same year.
