Antoine Scopelliti
Antoine Scopelliti OSST (born April 9, 1939 in Gallico Superiore ) is Bishop Emeritus of Ambatondrazaka .
Life
Antoine Scopelliti joined the religious order of the Trinitarian Order and was ordained a priest on December 18, 1965 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him coadjutor of Ambatondrazaka on January 21, 1991 . He was ordained episcopate on May 5th of the same year by the Bishop of Ambatondrazaka, Francesco Vòllaro ; Co- consecrators were Michel Malo IdP , the auxiliary bishop in Mahajanga , and Philibert Randriambololona SJ , the bishop of Antsirabé . With Francesco Vòllaro's retirement , Scopelliti succeeded him on March 6, 1993 as Bishop of Ambatondrazaka.
On April 11, 2015, Pope Francis accepted the age-related resignation of Bishop Scopellitis.
