Joseph Ignace Randrianasolo

Joseph Ignace Randrianasolo (born July 31, 1947 in Nandihizana , Madagascar , † February 4, 2010 in Ankadifotsy , Madagascar) was Roman Catholic bishop of Mahajanga .

Life

Joseph Ignace Randrianasolo received on 20 December 1975, the sacrament of Holy Orders . Between 1991 and 1995 he completed a doctoral degree in canon law in Rome. He taught at the seminary in Antananarivo.

On 24 October 1997 it appointed Pope John Paul II. To auxiliary bishop in Antananarivo and titular bishop of Milevum . The Archbishop of Antananarivo Armand Gaétan Cardinal Razafindratandra donated him episcopal ordination on February 8 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Adriano Bernardini , Apostolic Nuncio to Madagascar , Mauritius and the Seychelles as well as Albert Joseph Tsiahoana , Archbishop of Antsiranana .

Randrianasolo was appointed Bishop of Mahajanga by the Pope on June 3, 1999 . He was also chairman of the Faith Commission of the Bishops' Conference of Madagascar.

Two days after his by Pope Benedict XVI. on February 2, 2010 granted resignation for health reasons, he died. He has been assisted as coadjutor by Bishop Roger Victor Rakotondrajao since 2008 .
