Jeneba Tarmoh

Jeneba Tarmoh (born September 27, 1989 ) is an American sprinter .

She won three gold medals at the Junior World Championships in Athletics: 2006 in Beijing in the 4 x 100 meter relay , in 2008 in Bydgoszcz over 100 meters and in the relay competition.

In 2010 she was U23 NACA champion over 100 meters, in 2011 she was third in the US championships over 200 meters and was eliminated in the preliminary stages at the World Championships in Daegu .

In the run-up to the 2012 Olympic Games in London, controversy arose when Tarmoh and Allyson Felix ran a dead race for third place in 11.07 s in the US eliminations . The US Association USA Track & Field, which had not taken any precautions for such a case, finally decided to set up a duel for third place in the Olympics, which Tarmoh canceled. In London, Tarmoh was used in the run-up to the 4 x 100 meter relay and received gold after the US team won the final.

In 2013 she was third in the US championships over 200 meters. At the World Championships in Moscow , she was fifth over this distance. She started again in the run-up to the 4 x 100 meter relay and this time contributed to winning the silver medal.
