Dmytro Volodymyrowytsch Kossynskyj ( Ukrainian Дмитро Володимирович Косинський , internationally according to the English translation Dmytro Kosynskyy ; born March  31, 1989 in Malyn , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian javelin thrower .

Career

Dmytro Kossynskyj took part in the World Junior Athletics Championships in 2008 in Bydgoszcz, Poland for the first time in a major international competition, which he finished in seventh place with 69.59 m.

Two years later, Kossynskyj threw the javelin at the European Athletics Championships in 2010 in Barcelona 73.26 m, which he was only able to position in twelfth place.

After he had previously been successful in the European Winter Throwing Cup 2011 in the Bulgarian capital Sofia with 79.90 m in the U23 competition as second, Kossynskyj joined both the European Athletics Team Championships in Stockholm , Sweden, and in the same year at the European Athletics U23 Championships in Ostrava , Czech Republic, but was disqualified from both events shortly afterwards due to a positive doping test that had taken place at the European Team Championships and from August 19 of the same year for a period of locked for two years .

After his suspension had expired, Kossynskyj was initially active again in the 2014 European Winter Throwing Cup in Leiria, Portugal , where he finished ninth with 77.61 m. Kossynskyj has been celebrated four times in his career as the Ukrainian javelin champion. He won in 2010 (76.16 m) as well as in 2014 (78.04 m), 2015 (79.00 m) and 2016 (81.10 m).
