Nikola Ogrodníková (born August 18, 1990 in Ostrava , ČSSR ) is a Czech javelin thrower who started her career as an all-rounder .
Athletic career
International experience gained Nikola Ogrodníková at the 2007 World Youth Championships in Ostrava , where she ranked seventh in points with 5161 Heptathlon occupied. Then she won the bronze medal at the Junior European Championships in Hengelo with 5607 points. The following year she took eighth place in the javelin throw at the Junior World Championships in Bydgoszcz with a width of 53.94 m and was 22nd in the heptathlon with 4735 points. In 2009 she took part in the European Junior Championships in Novi Sad in the javelin throw and was eliminated there with 38, 50 m in the qualification and finished seventh in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.03 s. In 2011 she did not make it to the finals at the U23 European Championships in Ostrava with 48.04 m and also at the European Championships 2014 in Zurich she was eliminated with 53.15 m in the qualification.
In 2017 she took part in the World Championships in London for the first time, but was eliminated there with 59.99 m in qualification . In the following year she won the silver medal at the European Championships in Berlin with a throw on 61.85 m and only had to admit defeat to the German Christian Hussong . In 2019 she reached seventh place at the European Games in Minsk with 59.49 m and reached the final at the World Championships in Doha , where she finished eleventh with a width of 57.24 m.
In 2018 and 2020 Ogrodníková became Czech champion in javelin throw.
