Federica Del Buono (born December 12, 1994 in Vicenza ) is an Italian cross and middle distance runner who specializes in the 1,500 meter distance.

Athletic career

In 2012 Federica Del Buono contested her first race at a major international event, the Junior World Championships in Barcelona . Over 1500 meters she was eliminated in the preliminary round. In 2014 she won the gold medal at the U23 Mediterranean Games in Aubagne and also qualified for the European Championships in Zurich , where she surprisingly came in fifth. In 2015 she won the bronze medal at the European Indoor Championships in Prague in 4: 11.67 minutes behind Angelika Cichocka from Poland . She also won the bronze medal in the U23 team classification at the 2015 European Cross Country Championships in Hyères .
